Once a month, one of our e-newsletters will come to you direct from the Presidents and we’ll be sharing their activities here on the blog.

This is the last newsletter from us, your 10th Year FXU Presidents 2014-15!

It has been an incredible year, with lots of challenges and lots of successes. From a sports centre to academic pledges, Mental Health Awareness week to university financial transparency, we hope that we have achieved a lot for you, our students.

A vast majority of our work has been focussed around the Top Ten priorities, which were set at the start of our term from pooling together student feedback from a huge array of sources. We have achieved results for all ten, and the full report of our wins can be seen here.

But most importantly, we extend an enormous


To all our students, thank you for being a fantastic cohort, we have thoroughly enjoyed working with you all. May we wish you all the very best with the rest of your course and for the future just around the corner!

And finally, we would like to wish our successors, Grace, Amanda, Alexa & Fred, our best wishes for the year ahead.

PS. On Monday 1st June Student Council passed an Emergency Motion for FXU to support students attending the Anti-Austerity March in London on June 20th. If you would like to get involved please follow this link to the Facebook event page or email Catherine.thornhill@fxu.org.uk

PPS. All four presidents participated in the Rally4Shelterbox, ran by the RAD team. This event saw students man-power a relay baton 230 miles around the entirety Cornwall  in 36 hours and 57 minutes! All was in aid of Shelterbox, a disaster relief charity based in Helston who are currently providing relief efforts in Nepal. Over £1600 has been raised so far! Huge congratulations to all involved and thanks to all supporters. If you would like to support the effort you can still donate!
