Changes to the University of Exeter Teaching Week

You may have heard that the University of Exeter are currently reviewing the Teaching Day for a pilot in 2015/2016. The University has presented a series of options which look at variations in the teaching week and we now need the input of students in Penryn. In a time when student numbers are predicted to expand, there will be increasing pressures on our largest teaching spaces.

It is therefore timely to consider how we can work effectively and look at these alternative solutions to ease pressures – including making the most of the current facilities that we have. The University of Exeter has predicted we can save £12 million of student money which would otherwise have to be invested in new teaching facilities.

How do you want the teaching day to look the Penryn Campus? Which option works best for you and Penryn? Come along to our general meeting to indicate your preference and make the voice of Penryn heard!

If you have any additional comments leading up to and during the meeting, tweet us @FXUtweet and use the hashtag #FXUugm. We’ll be live tweeting the event! And remember, if this is an issue you feel really strongly about it, come along to the meeting. Your voice is important!
