The Big 14: Sports and recreation

UGM Twitter HeaderIn the run up to the General Meeting on Wednesday 6 November, we’ll be discussing the agenda items and asking you what you think. Please share your thoughts in the comments below and remember to come along to the meeting to get your voice heard. It’s 4-6pm in the Chapel Lecture Theatre at Penryn Campus. All students are welcome!

The Big 14 are FXU’s priorities, which you’ll hear a lot more about on the day. Taken from surveys, focus groups and conversations with you, the student population, we’ve listed the 14 key issues which we are keen to address and resolve.

10. Sports and recreation

We now have more sports clubs and societies than ever before (including football, rugby, quidditch, zombies, film and high tea) and want to continue to provide the kind of excellent service you have come to expect. Facilities is an area that has come up a lot in recent surveys and discussions and this is something we are keen to address in our priorities. But, as always, we want to know what you think. What facilities are most important to you? What do you think of the service you currently get from the Activities department? And remember, if you feel really strongly about it, come along to the meeting. Your voice is important!

About fxublog

The FXU blog has been set up to allow you to voice your concerns and engage in debate throughout your time at university. Share your thoughts on new development plans and proposals by answering polls and posting comments. We also want to feature real-life accounts of the student experience and regularly include posts written by YOU. We will continue to update the blog as new issues arise, but if you think we've missed something, email us at info@fxu.org.uk with 'Blog' in the subject and we'll pass the message on! You can also find out more about us on the website: www.fxu.org.uk.
